Hopefully, Facebook will bring back the “Add To My Page” link so we can easily add our custom Landing Page Tabs to our Facebook Fan Pages.

You don’t want to ask for too much information that becomes a hassle to input, or scares away potential prospects from sharing their emails with you. Many marketers make the big mistake of asking for information that they simply don’t need, like their visitors’ personal home address. You should only ask for this if you are planning on following up with all your subscribers through direct mail. If you aren’t sending out expensive “snail mail” follow-up letters, then don’t waste their time by asking them for their home addresses. Many visitors will hit their “back” button and surf the web to find alternative sources of information when they come across an opt-in form that requires too much personal information.

Video Squeeze Pages, also know as lead capture pages or landing pages are very simply webpages with one purpose. That purpose is to retrieve prospective customer’s names and email addresses in exchange for a free product or service of value to them to create their list. You have probably heard of people having a “prospect list” in marketing and this is what they are talking about. This particular discipline of Internet marketing is one that is very important in order to grow your business. A highly targeted list enables the owner to market his product or service with a pretty good amount of success, although you should never think that just the list alone will make you wealthy. Remember, as you are creating your video squeeze page, your viewers are really not that interested in hearing all about you and your successes; they only want to know what is in it for them (yes, in this case “it’s all about them!”)

While some marketers use text only for their squeeze pages the percentages of conversions I have seen for pages such as these are quite low (roughly ten percent, if that.) One other very important thing to keep in mind when you are making your video squeeze page is to keep it short, sweet and to the point. Remember, you want your web visitors to be intrigued and drawn into watching your video and seeing what you have to say and how you say it. And again, remember to keep your message focused on your prospects and what they want.

While text only squeeze pages may produce approximately a ten percent conversion rate, those with a short, informative and clear video of themselves can produce a much higher response rate, perhaps even as high as fifty percent or higher. Try making a few videos until you are comfortable behind the camera and then just do it. Be yourself and keep it real. The more genuine and sincere you come across, the more effective your video squeeze page will be and the more you’ll connect with your prospects.

Studies show that most people need to be exposed to something 5-7 times before taking action. If you send web traffic to a web site that doesn’t capture your visitors’ follow-up information, you may be missing out on a lot of potential sales or sign-ups.
