We recently added a new feature to the iPodiums’ Blast Page Publishers, which some members have requested. This latest enhancement allows you to insert “footer” code into your main landing page and into your thank you page. This is helpful for inserting tracking code, stat counters, analytics, etc..
[EXISTING MEMBERS: Please see the troubleshooting section below for important information.]
As important as it is to monitor visitor statistics to your landing pages, it’s also important to track visits to your thank you page. For example, maybe you are running a pay-per-click (PPC) ad campaign and want to see which specific sites or keywords were used to generate your leads. Now you can simply copy & paste in your PPC conversion code into your thank you page’s “footer code” box. This will place the code before the closing
tag. When someone opts-in and loads your thank you page after clicking your PPC ad, it should register as a new lead in the reporting section of your PPC service (i.e., Google, Microsoft/Bing, etc.). This report should show you the exact sites or keywords that were used so you can see which ones are bringing in the best results.
The “footer code” box for the “thank you page” is completely separate from the “footer code” box on the main landing page (or squeeze page). This way you can choose what type of tracking you want and where to place it. In addition to conversion tracking, you may want to also add a stat counter to gather visitor information (e.g., number of hits, number of unique visits, returning visits, time spent on the page, referring urls, keyword activity, search engines used, visitor location information, visitor browser/system stats, etc..). If you are looking for a good stat counter that does all of this and is free, go check out www.statcounter.com.
There are lots of other ways you can benefit from this newest enhancement to the iPodiums’ Blast Page Publishers. In fact, I am planning on posting a video soon that will show you how you can use this new “footer code” feature with one of the best marketing tools I have come across in a long time. I know… I’m sorry for the teaser. I can’t tell you what this tool is yet until we can make sure it works with the iPodiums system. But, I can tell you that it has already shown to increase conversion by huge numbers with many of our promotional pages. We just need some more testing time and I need to create a training video that will walk you through everything.
Be sure to bookmark this page and check back again soon. I will post a link here when everything is up and running. In the meantime, enjoy the new enhancement and stay tuned for some exciting announcements to come.
The following instructions do NOT apply to new members or existing members who are setting up a Blast Page for the first time using the “First Time Set-up” button in the Blast Page Manager. However, if you already have a Blast Page published, you may see some programming code within the “footer code” boxes in your Blast Page Publisher. This is very simple to remove. If you want to use this feature for inserting your own footer tracking code and you see this other code already there in the “footer code” box, please follow these steps:
1. Highlight all the code in the “footer code” box and delete it
2. Click “Continue” to go to the “Publish Changes” page and do the same thing with the code in the “footer code” box near the bottom of this page, as well.
3. Click the “Publish – Save Changes” button and check to see if the code has been removed. If it hasn’t try clicking the “Publish” button a second time.
This should remove all the code from both boxes on both pages. To return to the first page in the Blast Page Publisher, just click the link at the top marked “Back To Edit Templates”. This will bring you back to Step 1 of 2 in the Blast Page Publisher. If you have any issues or need help with anything, please contact support through the support section of your members’ area. A support specialist will be happy to help. Please do not post support issues on ProPodium.com. THANK YOU – and Best of Success!
