“NEW” -  People are always interested in discovering something NEW. Whether it’s new products, new features, new specials, new discounts or whatever.  If you don’t have anything new, add something new and call it “NEW”!  Other forms of “New” can be: “brand new”, “new & improved”, “just released” or “just launched”.

“GUARANTEED” -  This word is always a good one to include. Use it to tackle your prospects #1 fear, which is getting stuck and looking foolish after spending hard-earned money on something that just doesn’t work. You can eliminate their fears by eliminating their risk. Other forms of “Guaranteed” can be: “no-risk”, “100% satisfaction guarantee” or “guaranteed or your money back”.

“SECRET” -  Shhhhh…. Now don’t tell anyone this, but… people love hearing “Secrets”.  Everyone wants to be let in on the juicy “insider” secrets that only a few select VIPs get the privilege of knowing.  Use the word “Secret” in your advertising and then reveal something truly amazing and beneficial.

“INSTANT” -  We live in a fast-food, fast paced society.  People don’t want to wait in line or waste time sitting around waiting.  They don’t want it now… they want it “RIGHT NOW!”  So if you’re offering a free special report, free video, CD, ebook, software or any type of downloadable product, you may want to use words like: “Immediate Download” or “Instant Access”.  Sometimes, we’ll sell training CDs or DVDs, Since we know people are excited and don’t want to wait several days for their disks to arrive, we’ll also give them “Instant Access” to an online version.  It’s worth it just to be able to include the words “INSTANT ACCESS” in our promotions and increase our response rate.

“NOW” -  This is a lot like the #7 word – “Instant”.  They both mean “no waiting”.  One has to do with your prospects “not waiting” for their product or bonus, while this other word has to do with them “not waiting” to take action “NOW”.  It’s really amazing how many marketers don’t make their call-to-action clear and project a sense of urgency, like: “Act NOW!”, “Order NOW!”, Take Advantage NOW While This Limited-Time Offer Is Still Available!”

“YES” -  This is a very powerful word which you can use directly or subliminally.  For example, you can use this word in an order form with a checked checkbox saying something like: “YES!!! I want to take advantage of this NEW limited-time offer and gain INSTANT ACCESS Right Now!” or you could put your headline title in the form of a question that has a “YES” answer, like: “Are you tired of…?” or “Do you want to know the secret to…?”  The word “YES” is implied and is a very powerful subliminal tool.  After all, you want your prospects to answer “YES” to you or your offer.  Asking a question with a “YES” answer is great way to get them to start thinking in the affirmative.  You NEVER want to pose a question with a “NO” answer. For example: “Do you want to keep struggling with your finances?”   No… Instead, you should ask: “Do you want to be financially free?”

“SAVE” -  Everyone is interested in SAVING, whether it’s time, money or something else.  Even wealthy people like a good sale and everyone wants to get a good deal.  The word “SAVE” in any of it’s different forms (sale, discount, price reduction) is something you should definitely consider using  in your marketing campaigns.

“FREE” -  Even better than the word “save”, is the word “Free”.  Everyone loves getting something of value for free.  However, you have to be a little careful using this word since it has been overused and abused.  For example, a lot of SPAM filters will block e-mails with the word “Free” in the subject line or even if it appears too many times within the body of the e-mail itself.  You may want to use similar words or phrases, like: “complimentary”, “no-cost”, “no charge” or “won’t even cost you a penny”.  Even though it has been overused, the concept of giving away something of value as a free gift or free bonus is still very powerful and effective.

“YOU” -  The key to all successful advertising campaigns is to make a personal connection with your target audience. When writing sales copy, you want to speak directly to your reader.  You should use the word “YOU” or “YOUR” in your headline and all through your sales letter as much as possible.  For example, instead of saying: “Learn How To Increase Sales Using The #1 Magic Word On Landing Pages!”, you should say “Learn How YOU Can Increase Sales Using The #1 Magic Word On YOUR Landing Pages!”.  The more direct and personal you are in your marketing campaigns the more successful you’ll be.
